The original part of our house at Love and Life at Leadora was built in 1876. What I like best about my house is that it is filled with charm and details that newer homes don't always have. However, rooms in my home are small, and unfortunately there is not a lot of space for Christmas trees. In the past, I've squeezed in a snowman Christmas tree in the dining room and then cringed every time one of the kids or dogs rubbed up against it. So this year I decided to do a different kind of tree, and I used my white ironstone to do it.
My inspiration came from a Mary Engelbreit print that my mother gave me. Why is it that pretty Christmas prints are always hard to find? Anyway, the cost of the print was free, and although I paid to have it framed and mattted, it was totally worth it. Then I went to my snowman collection and chose my very favorite ones to display.
Your snowman display looks straight out of magazine. LOVE IT! We're still bare outside too. It never quite happened aside from the treehouse. Don't even get me started on gift buying. I'm behind...so behind.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love all the ironstone and I'm thinking the sweet little snowmen are loving it too. They all look so happy! Who wouldn't love haning out with such pretty things!

I adore your white ironstone.
ReplyDeleteI love the snowmen display. My favorite is the one with legs from buttons and spools. Adorable. I'm visiting from Brenda's. Congrats on the feature!
ReplyDeleteP.S...the new header is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI agree ~ the new header is awesome...
ReplyDeleteVery cute "tree!" Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove all the snowmen! Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteNicely done! I understand about not having room for Christmas trees. I do theme garlands. I have a snow man ornament garland around the back window in my kitchen, an angel ornament garland around the bathroom mirror, and antique ornament garland over the archway between my dining room/living room (pictured on my blog), and a kids toy garland going up my stairway. Lots of decorating, but very fun. My family looks forward to it every year.
