The new kitchen is coming along. I hadn't planned on making any window treatments, but the afternoon sun has been streaming through the back door, making it quite difficult to eat dinner at the kitchen table. I wanted to make something fast and easy, and these roller shades are just that. You can find the tutorial
here.
Now when I say fast, I mean fast! This roller shade took about a half hour to make, and most of my time was spent making sure I cut the fabric straight. The best thing is if I get tired of this one, I can find new fabric and whip up another!
They look great Heather! And you know I love the fabric - it's the same one we used in my son's room! Once again, you and I have the same taste!

Genius! I can't wait to see more of the kitchen!
ReplyDeleteI love the color and the chevron pattern of the fabric, very clean and crisp. Everything is looking great!!! Can't wait until it's all done. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love it!! It looks sooo good.

Having seen this in person I can say how great it looks...and it works! So glad to find a way to do this with out all of the mystery involved. And so easy ~ super!
ReplyDeleteCan't believe you made such a pretty shade so quickly! Can't wait to see your full kitchen reveal someday!

ReplyDeleteHope all is well and your projects are coming together. You are missed!
ReplyDeleteMissing your posts - hope you and your family are fine.
ReplyDeleteI actually really like the sun coming into my window when I eat dinner. The light from the sun helps stimulate stomach acid production. That helps you disgust your foods.
ReplyDeleteI love this shade! Can you tell me where you purchased the basic vinyl shade at before you covered it? I am having trouble finding a narrow width for my door. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGreat post about roller shades. I was searching information about Window Solutions And Roller Motorized Shades In Humble, then found your blog post. Thanks for sharing valuable post. Thanks
