It's looking a little bare without a shower curtain, but that will be coming soon. I am thinking of buying a white one and sewing on a black ribbon accent or perhaps some white ruffles.
I just love the shiny chrome. Since this bathroom has no windows, I am trying to get as much shine as possible. In fact, my oldest daughter calls this room "jenky" because it has no windows, my son says it has too much white, and my youngest can hardly wait to play waterworks and get water everywhere with the new attached sprayer! Oh well...thank goodness I'm a substitute teacher and not their interior designer!
Oh I just love it!!
ReplyDeleteI love it!

What beautiful hardware. Bless you for being a substitute teacher. You are a brave woman.
ReplyDeleteI think it looks GREAT!! Nice work - it is nice to have a MacGyver around, huh?
ReplyDeleteForget the kids, I think the shower would be a lot of fun for anyone. The rainshower head will feel so relaxing and the sprayer will get all that shampoo off in a hurry. I love the idea of ruffles on the shower curtain.
ReplyDeletei've been missing your posts, darling :) i LOVE your new shower! and i love the idea of a white curtain with black stripe...very shabby chic.
ReplyDeleteLove it!!! The shower fixture is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYou're substitute teaching? Bless your heart. Really. That is no easy job!
ReplyDeleteThe bathroom is going to look great!!!
It looks great, almost too pretty to put in a bathroom. Very elegant and the ideas for the shower curtain sound interesting...wonder which one you will end up with.
ReplyDeleteHeather,
ReplyDeleteMy favorites were the red one and the one with the moon also. Subbing is not the easiest job to do! I was a teacher's assistant for 4 years, 4th and 5th grade and really enjoyed it. My sister is a first grade teacher in the "OC". I'm a shower girl so I love it! How fun to be under that rain head! Looking great, can't wait to see what curtain you choose.

Hi Heather,
ReplyDeleteI just love those old fashion style fixtures! One step closer to finishing the bathroom...Yay! Can't wait to see it all done :-) Have a fantabulous day.
Hugs and Kisses,
♥Ana
I love it and the curtain idea of black ribbon sounds great!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so shiny and pretty! And that's what i need. I have the rainshower part, but I could use the sprayer to get the rest of the soap out of my hair. Best of both worlds.
ReplyDeleteNow that's a shower!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Heather! Thank you for your sweet visit! Yes, I bought my bunnies at costco years ago too...and they are my favorite Easter decorations! I wondered if any of my blog buddies had them too :) Your new shower head is so cool! I love your idea of a white curtain with ruffles! Ruffles are ultra chic and all the rage!
ReplyDeleteBest Wishes and Blessings,
Amanda
Love the tile...it's just like the tile we put up for our backsplashes in the kitchen and bathroom. I love the black tile...I feel as if it looks like a black ribbon accent for my walls...very ohh la la You'll have to catch my blog post from today and my medicine cabinet makeover ;) Fondly, Roberta
ReplyDeleteOh its wonderful!! Looks Fabulous~ Love Heather

Hiya Heather. What a great project! The new fixtures are great.
ReplyDeletehave a happy thursday
You can't have too much white in a bathroom. Looks great!
ReplyDeleteLove the new fixture! I substitute teaching too! Sure can throw off your schedule. For a while I was working every single day. Then it was hit and miss. It's picking up again but I am taking a break until after Spring Break.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
ohhhh.
ReplyDeletelove the shower & fixtures! what's the name of the color on the wall? (above the shower head)... lovely color.
glad to see you back.
Your bathroom is really coming together. I bet you are just as excited to use it as the kids. A ruffled shower curtain sounds perfect.
ReplyDeleteI taught so I can appreciate your schedule! Bless your heart!
Have a great weekend!
Michelle :)
Heather, I love the design of that fixture. Great vintage appeal.
ReplyDelete*GASP* I have total fixture envy right now.
ReplyDeleteLove the bathroom renovation! I will have to show you the kid's bathroom soon. You know that when you accomplish one of your anticipated projects in a historic home, it makes you feel amazing!
ReplyDeleteThank you for being a sub for your local schools...People like you are truly a blessing!
Many continued happy moments in your lovely home,
