Roller Shades 101

The new kitchen is coming along.  I hadn't planned on making any window treatments, but the afternoon sun has been streaming through the back door, making it quite difficult to eat dinner at the kitchen table.  I wanted to make something fast and easy, and these roller shades are just that.  You can find the tutorial
here.

Now when I say fast, I mean fast!  This roller shade took about a half hour to make, and most of my time was spent making sure I cut the fabric straight.  The best thing is if I get tired of this one, I can find new fabric and whip up another!

  1. They look great Heather! And you know I love the fabric - it's the same one we used in my son's room! Once again, you and I have the same taste!

  15. I actually really like the sun coming into my window when I eat dinner. The light from the sun helps stimulate stomach acid production. That helps you disgust your foods.

  16. I love this shade! Can you tell me where you purchased the basic vinyl shade at before you covered it? I am having trouble finding a narrow width for my door. Thanks!
