Placemats and Kitchen Towels

Well, I finally finished that set of placemats for dinner.  I made the mistake of adding ruffles, which took forever!...

I needed a little bridal shower gift, and I used some of my placemat scraps to make these...

Want to make some of your own?  Find the tutorial at  Less Than Perfect Life of Bliss.  These cake towels are fun to make and awfully cute, don't you think?

Here they are all wrapped up and ready to go in a red casserole dish along with some red measuring spoons.  In case you're wondering, we were supposed to choose our gift according to one of our favorite sayings about marriage....I sure hope the bride-to-be enjoys this!

  7. Hi Heather,
Your dinner placemats turned out awesome...And although the ruffles took a while... I bet they were worth the effort... Oh and love, love, love the cute kitchen towels. I think the idea of picking a gift to reflect your favorite marriage saying is such a cute idea. Well done my friend.

  12. My expression through the years has been "I only sew for love" meaning, of course, that it's too much work to do for a lesser motive. I'm sure she will love it!

  21. Wait so these are towels or napkins. They would be great napkins. AL through I dunno if I would want to take your art or art I made and use them for someone's face.
